Ahem. Let me introduce myself:
I’m Alexis Black, but you can call me AyBlack.
Imagine yourself trying to call me by my last name from across the room, “Aye BLACK!”.... get it? Or the obvious.. A for my first initial and BLACK for my last name... okay enough enough... strangely it’s not that easy for people to catch on to that lol.
I'm an Antiguan American Muslim, currently in the aviation industry. My mother was born in Antigua and my Father, born and raised Texan. After completing my BS degree (literally B.S.) in Multidisciplinary Studies, I accepted myself as a Muslim, by nature. I say accepted because at the root of every human being, is to submit to the Higher Power, Creator, Allah (God), and I chose to accept this way of life.
I’ll share diaries when I want to vent, but also share the knowledge I’ve learned since I've started traveling (like gifts you should bring your flight crew). Hopefully I can stay on topic enough to ease your travel worries or at least make them more manageable. I don't plan to reinvent the wheel, instead, share my journey through my lens. I’ll share personal testimonies, ones that will kind of paint a picture of how I got where I am and where I desire to go (as I’m figuring it out myself). Our ultimate goal is to be one with our Creator right? So as I’m on this travel journey of mine, I pray that ultimately I’m discovering myself and how I connect to Allah (God) in whatever capacity that leads me to.
So whoever you are or whatever you call yourself, I'm glad you're here and I pray you’re inspired to jump out of the box society typically puts us in and activate that potential God created in you.
Welcome!
-AyBlack
