They say failing to plan is planning to fail.
Have you ever had the desire to accomplish something that you knew was going to be great; it could even help other people and make you happy all in one?
And you were so excited about it, but didn't write it down?
Or say you did write it down but didn't make a game plan on how you'd accomplish it? Shortly after, the idea gets lost somewhere in your notes and weeks go by, and you're nowhere near achieving the goal?
There wasn't any momentum behind the goal to bring it to life. Just having an idea, or even writing it down doesn't bring it to fruition. It takes preparation and planning to make things happen.
Well, that same concept applies to your day. It does no justice to expect to have a productive day or even a day filled with happiness without preparing for it.
I know I get frazzled when I jump up and start rushing to do random things or get to work, and it doesn't serve me. I end up feeling frustrated, short-tempered, and unmotivated.
One of THE BEST pieces of advice for creating more peace in my life was to create a morning routine.
There are certain things I do every morning that are my non-negotiable tasks. No matter what is going on, these HAVE to happen.
My 4 Non-negotiable Morning Tasks:
Drink water: studies have shown that drinking a glass of water first thing in the morning helps you wake up and feel energized, so I have a bottle or glass by my bed.
Move Around: I have to move in some way, whether that's stretching, yoga, walking, dancing, singing, whatever! Even if I'm lifting a few jugs of water since the gyms are closed. I have to get my body moving.
Mind Set: whether it's prayer or mediation. I have to find a way to center myself and set my mind for the type of day I PLAN to have. On my best days, I do both, but we all know, our best days aren't every day. But AT LEAST one of these is done.
Mantra: I remind myself of my gratitude, and I repeat my mantras a few times to myself.
Having a plan allows me to feel more in control and empowered to check the most off of my to-do lists.
The first step to manifesting is planning. Set intentions so the Universe knows exactly what you want. You wouldn’t go to a restaurant and tell them to give you whatever they want to serve you right?
Plan, Achieve, Succeed.
What are your non-negotiable morning tasks? Let me know in the comments and share this with a friend (or two).

Here's sample morning routine to get you flowin’. If you currently don’t have a planner, I highly suggest Brendon Bruchard ’s High Performance Planner. I'll attach a blank template below.
Also, I’ve started to read 'Miracle Morning' by Hal Elrod and suggested by my fav’s @missunconventional_ and @glographics. So far it’s a GAME CHANGER! Audible has a 2 for 1 deal right now, so listen to it while you're doing stuff around the house.
Hope this helps!!
Now go kill it!
Til next time,
Alexis
