Want to know what you can do to make sure your immune system is in tip-top shape? Are you planning on traveling anytime soon? Or just worry about the transition back to normalcy? (Whatever that is)
Welp! Honestly, doing your part when it comes to your immune system is essential for our world to heal during this time and maintain health year-round. The beauty of our planet is that we naturally have everything we need to maintain a healthy immune system.
The downfall is that the Internet and media can be full of confusion, excess noise, and clutter when it comes to information. So I wanted to shed some light on 10 things you can do to maintain a healthy immune system and what you should be doing no matter the season.
Feel free to comment below if you have any questions or concerns. I'm no doctor, just your Flight Attendant friend who's exposed to germs all year long from different countries!
(Link to my Amazon store at the bottom for most of these products, or click the picture).
Let's get into it! First thing's first...
Oil of Oregano
4-5 drops in water or one under the tongue, holding for a minute. POWERHOUSE! Natural antibiotic, which supports gut health, anti-inflammatory, relieves pain, etc. is a must for me. First thing in the morning.
Hot Tea Ginger Tea with Lemon
Ginger breaks up and eliminates mucus.. honestly, both are the two best things for your body. (Yup... Caribbean folks love tea!)

Water
How much depends on the person. The goal is to stay hydrated to make sure anything that comes in your system has an opportunity to expel quickly. So if you're drinking a lot of tea, you probably won't drink as much water. Also, make sure the water is room temperature or warm.

Exercise
The purpose is to get your lunges pumping... and a little sweat. Exercise helps bacteria flush out of lunges and airways and stimulates your immune system cells.
Zinc
Another powerhouse, it regulates immune function, wound healing, diarrhea, common cold, memory, and you definitely want this! I just got put on this honestly, and I'm glad I did!
Vitamin C
Much like zinc & most commonly known: supports the immune system, skin, brain, nails, bones, etc. You can take supplements for Vitamin C, but honestly, you can just eat them or juice em! Hit the farmers market and grab some cantaloupe, kiwi, mango, pineapple, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and watermelon. Boom!
Throat spray
I got mine at Whole Foods, but I’m sure you can buy it at most health food stores. This attacks stuff that you might inhale before it gets a chance to go anywhere else. It’s not magic, but it is immune support. You got options! I just make sure mine has echinacea, propolis, and goldenseal. Anything else is a bonus!

Sleep
Many of us people take this for granted, but when we sleep, our bodies repair itself and allow us to function correctly. Sleep aside from sugar and dairy is also a very huge factor when it comes to immune strength.

Mindset!
I’m a HUGE believer in the power of thought. It’s scientifically proven that people who live in fear and worry are directly correlated with weak immune systems and suffer from various illnesses. Don’t fret! Jump on YouTube and type in 10 minutes (or even 5 minutes) guided mediation and listen to it DAILY!!!
All of these things help your immune system is doing what it naturally has done and will do your whole life; which is protect you! God gave us these antibodies to fight off infection and bacteria naturally. By taking care of our bodies, we provide it with the opportunity to function correctly. Things like sugar and dairy are the most potent things that weaken the immune system. Walking around in fear and worry won’t protect you from harm. But being mindful and prepared will give you the true peace of mind that we all are searching for.
When I’m feeling anxious, or fearful, I shout, “ FEAR DON’T LIVE HERE!!!”. It might sound weird, but it works. I hope this helps!
Oh!! But, before I go... here's a BONUS! (lowkey I just forgot to add this and I couldn't live without sharing this one!)
Nasal Spray
This one is a must! Nasal spray moisturizes dry sinuses and passageways (key for allergy season and flying). It also thins the mucus, flushes bacteria, and helps with postnasal drip. You can use a Neti pot, purchase a saline nasal spray, or prescribed by your doctor. Get you some. Ya heard???
Comment below if you have any questions or concerns. You can purchase most of the items mentioned on my Amazon storefront. (Happiness sold separately). Oh! And... don't just take my word for it, there are so many other things you can take that help keep your immune system strong (I just didn't want to bore or overwhelm you with fithy-million things).
